Leverkusen | October 19, 2009: NYK is convinced of Chemion’s Know-how

Chemion has been storing printer cartridges for NYK Logistics (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) at its Uerdingen plant since August of this year. The company with a branch in Duisburg forms part of the worldwide NYK group and has a strong international focus. Due to the fact that printer cartridges contain flammable liquids and thus fall within the category of „hazardous substances“ NYK looked for a proper partner in the region with the corresponding competence in dangerous goods handling who would be able to guarantee a safe handling of the cartridges for a customer of NYK. Chemion and NYK used the Munich „transport logistic“ in the month of May to strengthen the existing contact between the companies. Following the trade fair both partners entered into negotiations and thereupon began their business relationship.
