Leverkusen | May 18, 2010: Young Logs are Guests at Chemion
Chemion has been the host of the spring meeting of Young Logs (young logisticians): Twenty-one junior logisticians from the transportation, traffic and logistics sectors met in Krefeld on April 23rd. The idea of the Young Logs was born in 2004. A handful of people had decided to set up a network for young logisticians in Duisburg. Today, the Young Logs Network comprises around 100 committed logisticians from more than 40 different companies; with a tendency to grow.
This time too – just like at every other meeting of the networkers – a good mix of topics was on the afternoon’s agenda. Following a lecture on the „Bullwhip Effect“, the description of a market behaviour within logistic chains, the Young Logs got a view of the Uerdingen silo logistics in an outdoor sequence. And, off course, the program also allowed plenty of time for discussion and exchange of experience. Because new solutions and innovative ideas – the Young Logs are firmly convinced - cannot be simply generated within companies but by contacts and cooperation between companies.
