Leverkusen | April 08, 2009: transport logistic in Munich: Chemion Makes Logistics Transparent
Chemion Logistik GmbH has made the term „transparency“ the clear motto of its appearance at the transport logistic trade show to be held in Munich from May 12-15, 2009: On an exhibition space of about 100 sq.m. at Stand 213 in Hall A5, the logistics service provider is going to demonstrate how integrated solution concepts are transformed into efficient processes and make complex logistics chains controllable. Examples from the practice of several areas of activity demonstrate the benefit of the holistic approach.
Chemion Logistik is convinced: Complex logistics chains require comprehensive solution concepts. „To achieve this aim existing processes need to be questioned and operations conducted before or after a logistic activity, such as transport, handling or storage, need to be taken into consideration as well“, explains Ralf Thiesen, Head of Marketing and Sales at Chemion Logistik GmbH. „This holistic approach makes optimization potentials transparent and allows to improve efficiency.“ Chemion regards the combination of different areas of activity into one overall solution as another positive effect: the number of interfaces is decreased and the complexity of control on the side of the customer can be reduced.
What will a holistic consideration and a netting of logistics sub-sectors look like in practice and what will be the tangible benefit of such approach to customer companies? At its stand at the Munich trade show Chemion is going to answer these questions with examples from the fields of dangerous goods and site logistics. A multitude of individual activities needs to be coordinated and centrally clocked especially in these two areas of specialization. This is the only way to ensure a seamless interlocking of activities and a smooth running of the overall process.
Another factor is of fundamental importance to efficient logistics: Knowing about the importance of details. Ralf Thiesen: „Each detail must be deliberately and skilfully performed especially in the area of chemical logistics to make sure that processes are managed safely and hazardous situations are avoided at the site and beyond.“
Chemion uses a huge Memory game to let people experience how important detailed expertise and process know-how are: Visitors to the Chemion stand are invited to sharpen their awareness of the detail and, thus, gain a new perspective on individual logistics aspects.
Chemion’s trade show concept also conveys the conviction that integrated logistics concepts produce greater transparency. The round and all-side-open trade show stand provides detailed information on chemical logistics and the logistics service provider’s close-to-site services, such as, for example, special equipment management. There is also enough room at the stand for an exchange with experts from the various technical departments of the company and the broadening of information. Customers, interested parties and media representatives are cordially invited to talk to Chemion´s representatives at Stand 213 in Hall A5!
