Leverkusen | April 17, 2008:Chemion Logistik offers Short-Term Rent for Explosion-Proofs Forklifts
Chemion Logistik is going to present its concept of ground-conveyor fleet management as well as the explosion-proof forklift Still RX 20-16 EX developed in collaboration with Still at CeMat 2008 held in Hanover, Germany, May 27th-31st, 2008.
The increasing transport of goods in Europe more and more often leads to bottlenecks in the supply of special equipment. The situation gets even more difficult when a customer needs explosion-proof forklifts at short notice and wishes to rent them for just a short period. Chemion Logistik is aware of this need and has expanded its offer for ground-conveyor fleet management accordingly: As one of the few operators of commercial vehicles and special equipment the logistics services provider also makes its equipment available for short-term rental periods of just one day to twelve months. Angelo Lombardo, Head of the ground-conveyor fleet management division at Chemion, says: „this is of tremendous benefit to our customers as it enables them to satisfy their need for additional explosion-proof forklifts at short notice, for example, for increased production, and they do not have to invest in costly equipment.“
With a total of 2,000 ground conveyors, 400 of which are explosion-proof forklifts, Chemion is the European market leader in the field of EX forklifts. As a specialist in the handling of dangerous goods the company uses these forklifts every day to competently and safely provide its customers with storage and handling services or other close-to-site services. It is, above all, this experience in the practical operation of ground conveyors where customers can benefit from Chemion’s service offer in the field of ground-conveyor fleet management. So, the customers cannot only choose between different financing options such as hire purchase, leasing or full-service leasing or opt for a short or long-term rent. They can also freely determine the extent and depth of all other services – everything is possible from simple renting to the “All-round-No-Worry-Package“. Thus, every customer receives a customized solution tailored to their ground-conveyor fleet to best suit their particular situation.
Based on the experience in the operation and leasing of explosion-proof vehicles Chemion initiated a project in 2002 aiming at the reduction of purchase and operating costs of EX forklifts. After presenting the explosion-proof Still series R60 at CeMAT 2005 Chemion is now going to introduce the second generation of equipment of the RX series at Still’s exhibition space at CeMAT 2008. Here too, a well-tried standard equipment has been successfully combined with the requirements of explosion protection along with the conformity provided by the Still manufacturing company.
